Performing the role of "Love"
In 2001 Alexis graduated from the “Promenade Playhouse Acting Conservatory” in Los Angeles where she studied for 2 years. Since then, Alexis has worked as an actress in the Australian film and television industry. Last year she returned to Australia after spending 18 months in New York and the Netherlands. In New York She studied at TVI Actors studio. Her short film, “Murder on Her Mind” which she wrote, produced and acted in was also screened as a part of the “Outback Shorts” film festival in Brooklyn. In Holland she performed with the Amsterdam based theatre company “In Players” in their production “Liquid Love”as well as the “AATG” theatre in The Hague which travelled to Brussels with their production of “Him”. Alexis was also invited to participate in the 10 day film makers masterclass the “Rutger Hauer Film Factory” where she had the opportunity to work with industry professionals, such as the directors Robert Rodriguez (El Mariachi, Dusk till Dawn, Spy kids, Sin City) and Lech Maijewski (Basquiat, The Gospel According to Harry )as well as the legendary Rutger Hauer himself (Bladerunner, Lady Hawke, Sin City - to name a few). She also acted in, film and commercials for television and radio whilst being in Holland. Now back in Australia, Alexis co-wrote and starred in the 48 hour film festival production “In Loving Memory” which was selected as a finalist for the competition. Most recently she played the role of "Alex" in the soon to be released feature “Big Mamma's Boy”. Her film and Television credits include “Ghostrider”, “Rats and Cats”, "One Night", “Neighbours”, “Stingers” “MDA”, and numerous commercials.
